An informal POLL: Is GMail Good to Go?
An informal POLL: Is GMail Good to Go?

Is GMail Good to Go?

I seek everyones feedback in an imformal poll. Is GMail ready for
public release? I vote Yes.

So the vote total now is Yes: 1, No: 0

Please vote yes, no, or undecided and feel free to include your
reasoning.

GMail already offers more storage, POP3, searching and labeling that
Hotmail and Yahoomail will find it hard to compete with.
My take on it.

POLL: Rank Hotmail, Yahoomail, and GMail 1-2-3
POLL: Rank Hotmail, Yahoomail, and GMail 1-2-3

POLL:Rank Hotmail, Yahoomail, and GMail 1-2-3

Please rank the three services 1-2-3 based upon your experience and
perception.

My rankings:

1. GMail Storage, free POP3, forwarding, filters, labels and excellent search.

2. Yahoomail Proven reliability, one quarter the storage of GMail. Will have to roll out free POP or IMAP to all its user base to compete, and that could take a while. Integration of Oddpost GUI may take some time too, but should be nice when done.

3. Hotmail. Really struggling to keep up.

gdSuite 1.0 - Taking Desktop Searches to a New Level

What is gdSuite?

gdSuite is a Desktop Search client. This means that you can use gdSuite to search for files, e-mails, web pages you've viewed, AIM conversations you've had, and, in the near future, Trillian chats and Gmail. gdSuite is a Client because it does not actually conduct the searches. It use Google Desktop to find the files, and then displays the results for you in an easy to read fashion. Plus, gdSuite displays search results virtually instantly* and has a user interface that is easy to use and, on Windows XP especially, very pretty. To use gdSuite, you must have Google Desktop installed on your computer.
